The C-Tex activated carbon cloth manufacturing facility is one of the worlds largest and backed by our laboratories and pilot plants can offer world class support for customers.
By working closely with our customers and using a combination of advanced adsorptive and textile technologies, C-Tex has the capability to engineer optimised materials and customised solutions for your particular application. The C-Tex product range includes knitted, woven and nonwoven felt carbon cloths.

Knitted
Knitted C-Tex has good stretch, low fiber shedding and is soft to the touch. It is ideal for clothing applications, wound dressings and some filter media.

Woven
Woven C-Tex has low stretch, lower pressure drop and is marginally stronger than knitted media. Typical uses include through flow filters

Nonwoven
Non woven versions of C-Tex such as needle felt may be manufactured to a very wide range of specifications.
Research + Customisation
Our R&D facilities have extensive capability for the development and customisation of products, including;
- Lamination to new substrates
- Use of chemisorption and catalysts agents
- Development of bespoke carbon textiles
We can offer a wide range of laboratory services both for our own materials supply and as a contract service. We are also very active in European and UK sponsored collaborative research programs and welcome opportunities to join new proposals into these activities.
